Objectives of the course

Beginning in the early 1980s, John Grinder (co-creator of NLP) and various collaborators set out to extended, make more explicit and precise and to radically simply the set of patterns for change, both remedial and generative).  Since 1988, Carmen Bostic St. Clair and John Grinder have developed multiple tools for radically improving the performance of individuals and companies.

In this seminar, participants are invited to arrive with specific, concrete issues, challenges and objectives  to be used as material for the application of the New Code patterns. Participants will come to an initial mastery of the powerful techniques for application to self development and to the effectiveness of their companies, familes and institutions.

Among the specific patterns to be presented are:

The verbal package: a streamlined, updated and stunning version of its predecessors, the meta model (1975) and the Precision Model (1980) – this model is a simple and precise set of tools, powerful in its application and designed especially for incorporation into

business cultures of highly successful companies. This set of patterns is one of the quickest and most effective means for stimulating appropriate participation in a company.

the New Code change format: the development of High Performance States (content-free) and their integration into whatever contexts of application the client desires. The presentation will include a number of different New Code games for the purpose of achieving high performance states.

perceptual positions: Participants will be guided through a series of exercises to discover and develop systematic access to these highly effective perceptual positions – especially triple description

Sanctuary (formerly stalking): a precise intervention pattern, designed for contexts in which the client’s movement into a less-than-optimal state occurs either too quickly or too slowly for the client to exercise choice – subsequent to the application of this format, the client will experience an automatic unconscious movement to a state from which he or she can select the state (and the behaviors) they would prefer to offer in response to the contexts identified

Chain of excellence:   the underlying hierarchy of leverage points to any user of the New Code can use to appreciate, design and apply the insights of the New Code

The Bostic/Grinder Intention/Consequence model:   a radical generalization of the use of positive intention and consequence

as an ecological and precise procedure for creating change both at personal and at company level

Personal editing: an ongoing personal continuous improvement program designed to clean up those obstacles in the present that have their origin in the past and the ongoing up-dating of choices to ensure excellence in any context selected

An Accurate Representation of the Heart of NLP: Modeling This model of modeling is a historically accurate representation of the modeling that created the field of NLP and the most radical of the contributions yet made by NLP.  Applications to best practices will be offered.
